Lycia
Lycia also is known as the city of the lake is the third-largest city in the Leicester Alliance, it was built up in the eastern regions of the Alliance making it a closer hub to many of their allies such as Gallia and the Tellius expansion. Like the other large cities of the Alliance Lycia has plenty to offer all who come inside her walls from the second-largest mage guild in the Alliance to the infamous monster museum and much more. One of Lycia's most talked about features is actually closed off to most this would be the pool found underneath the lake itself. This pool is said to contain special water said to have healing properties this pool is heavily guarded and only those with a pass may come in and out. It is said the area under the lake was once the home of a large creature. The city itself is broken down into 6 districts the Trade District, Magic District, Water District, Art District, Blessed District, and the Chosen District all surrounding a large breathtaking fountain found in the center of the city.
Demographics
The population of the city contains all humanoid races from Talos though many claim to find more humans and elves than the other races.
Government
City Counsel:
A group of Councilors chosen by the people where everyone from the highest noble to the lowest commoner gets a vote. It is more common for someone to be nominated by a powerful guild or a noble family but anyone who is well-known amongst the commoners can easily be nominated through public request. Councilors hold term for 6 years and while it is not mandatory many Counsels choose to divide the needs of the city with roles for each member such as Vizier, Chief Magistrate, and so on.
Lycia's current City Council is made up of Irellia Edith the Vizier of Lycia , Hayden Hillshadow Lycia's Chancellor , Uriel Stormwoods Chief Magistrate of Lycia , Ayser Ravenhall Lycia's Lord of Treasury , Watch Commander Frederick Farspear III , and High Septon of Lycia Father Kane.
Vizier - A council member that works as an advisor and confidant with all other members speaking to them all in private and relaying messages between them.
Chancellor - A council member that focuses on managing the city's civil services and maintenance of its infrastructure.
Chief Magistrate - A council member that presides over the courts, which try and punish criminals and rule on civic disputes.
Lord of the Treasury - A council member that controls the city's purse strings, collection taces, and duties as well as allocating funds.
Watch Commander - A council member that leads the city guards he is personally responsible for maintaining law and order within the city walls.
High Septon - A council member responsible for all religious issues within the city from leading important rituals to making sure the city stays pure and does not stay from the blessings of the Gods.
Defences
The city is surrounded by large towering walls to look over the surrounding flat grasslands. The wall is manned by some of the best warriors in the Alliance army and is armed with the top technologies such as Bolt Throwers and more.
Industry & Trade
The fertile soil near the city leads to many crops and goods such as tobacco and spices being grown here in large quantities for trade with other nations. Alongside this, the city like many places in the Leicester Alliance is known for the spectacular art and different types of crafts it produces.
Infrastructure
The city of Lycia is broken into 6 major districts they are as follows Trade district, Magic district, Water district, Art district, Chosen district, and the Blessed district.
Magic District:
Most of the population is made up of guild members or those who work at this guild. Bordering the trading district the magic district has its own row of shops all catering to anything a mage could need. The majority of the land here is taken up by the massive guild area owned by the guild.Trading District:
Bordering the magic and art district this area is packed full of all forms of shops, any variety you could want from Furever Homes to the famous Dryad and Dragon. Dryad and Dragon like all other blacksmiths in Lycia are found here within an area called Soots Trail. If shopping isn't what your searching for stop in at one of the taverns of inns the trading district really has it all.Art District:
Bordering the trading district many consider where these two meet to be the center of town. Home to places for all from the odd tavern to the lane of shops, even the famous Monster Museum.Chosen District:
The home of any elected official and their family, many high-ranking members of other organizations also find themselves living here as well. Broken down into smaller sections within three main areas the first being mainly business or government buildings. Following after is the residential area full of elaborate homes many covered in either ornate metalwork, Stained glass windows, or some other expensive art add-on. The last area is home to the city's armory and prison as well as the homes of some of the guards. Being the most guarded place in the city anyone who enters needs to have a special pass for the guards to open the gate.Water District:
Surrounding the lake the area seems to receive the most visitors out of anywhere in the city its probably due to this that one of the largest inns in the alliance opened here. It borders the chosen district, most agree that the entrance to the underground pool is somewhere on this border. Most area in the district is built for tourist to enjoy the small lakeside beach.Blessed District:
Most of the area here is covered in large ornate churches and common homes. Common homes are large buildings with several rooms for people to stay in, in exchange for working for the church. While clerics and paladins are allowed to enter the [Alliance Magic Guild they must live and study here under a deity of their choosing. Last but not least the district is home to the morgue and cemetery for any who has lost a loved one in the city.Assets
