Western Olorlay
"The west of Olorlay is a land of clashing clans and continuous conflict. These clans make up the final line of defense against the conquests of King Fjurmann Ojntund of Knurden. Long ago, the clans were subjugated by a tyrannical empire, and they will do whatever they can to avoid suffering the same fate again.
The lands of Western Olorlay are dotted with old ruins of the Burbric Empire and castles of Olor clans that have settled among them. Four clans call these lands their home. Fallavar is a proud clan and the oldest and most powerful of all the Olor clans. It has ruled from the city of Fallaval for centuries.
Eloroi is a relatively new clan that formed from a faction after the Burbric Collapse. They adopted the ways and traditions of the other Olor Clans, but still walk a fine line between Olor culture and their Burbric heritage.
The Drinlo clan has settled on the Golden Plains and is a largely nomadic clan, with its capital in the remnants of the Burbric city of Aroudente.
Synlor, like the western clans, is much less involved in the fighting, but actually cares about the alliance of Olorlay, bound by a code of honor. They work tirelessly to recruit men in their fight against the Knurds.
When the Knurd king unified all the clans of Knurden under one banner, he set his eyes on the Olor clans. These eight clans formed an alliance in response to the Knurd threat, but the alliance never had a solid foundation.
The eastern clans are under no direct threat and engage in petty skirmishes and open conflicts regularly. Meanwhile, the western clans of Fallavar and Eloroi have already had to fight a number of field battles against the forces of King Fjurmann and suffered great defeats.
Fallavar, the most influential of the Olor clans, has already sent a number of calls to arms to the western clans, but so far, they have yet to respond. Likely, they are much too occupied with squabbling over old feuds to care about Fjurmann's conquests. If they don't start to take responsibility for their side of the alliance, the Alliance of the Lords of Olorlay may soon break, leaving the western clans to fend for themselves against the overwhelming Knurds."
