Pyda Halbejan (PYE-duh Hal-B'JAHN)
Jal (a.k.a. "the Glaive")
Pyda Halbejan was a talented Eba-Razakir during the first quarter of the War of the Six until Jal-Razakir Siuk Akcheres was driven mad and, according to some witnesses, flew off the Precipice. Halbejan then succeeded her and remained the acting Jal throughout the rest of the War.
He became something of a folk hero when he confronted and killed the 'twin' Ba'athorog Sororith and Neosorith following their attack on a medical compound in retaliation against the Banishing. He died in the process and the event was commemorated in Akasien Ttarvek's war poem 'The Fang in the Rib'.
He is remembered as aloof, somewhat abrasive, but dedicated to his principles and his country.
Nelos Acosaphaura was his subordinate; Eraleon Acosaphaura was his peer prior to his promotion.
