Shiversprings

The Shiversprings are the largest place of geothermal activity within the Koruna Hinterlands. It is a field of large hot springs that span for miles around. Here, the fiery energies that boil beneath Ragnarok heat subterranean lakes, bringing them to the surface in great pillars of boiling, emerald-hued water. The smell of sulfur is thick in the air, and trees here are naught but branchless trunks. Closer to the Shiversprings' center, most pools among the boiling fields are deadly to those without resistance to natural heat, and harmful to those who are, but some that have been discovered around the Shiversprings' outskirts that are warm and safe enough to bathe in, prompting a boom in tourism for wandering travelers, especially some mountain-folk clans who frequent the springs.

Harokk Hotsprings

One particular attraction is the great Harokk Lodge. Built by the Aul'Harokk family clan around a series of large hot springs, the Lodge has been in the family name for generations and prides itself as a place of natural healing and communion with the spirits. As much of a temple as it is a bathhouse and lodge, it is a serene place popular with travelers seeking clarity of the mind and relaxation of the body.
