Eyjaskeggjaheim (ˈeiːjaˈʃɛt͡ʃːaːheiːm)
The Eyjaskeggjaheim is the northernmost group of islands in the Norður Islands, and is the home of the Eyjamaður. The primary island is Eyju, which is the largest island in the Norður Islands. There are several smaller islands in the group, including Eysýsla and the Vestaeyjar islands.
The largest settlements in this group are the major towns on the island of Eyju, including the major port of Höfnvík. Most of the other islands are small and lightly populated, and more of the Eyjamaður live in the Ynys Archipelago than in the smaller islands of Eyjaskeggjaheim.
Geography
