Marin Solis
Marin Solis is the current Lightweaver on board The Twilight Endeavour. While she has been trained, she is a non-Guild Lightweaver, and is keen to develop her natural Lightweaving skills outside of the lecture halls and in the skies of the Shattered Realms.
Born in the Sunken Collective city of Highwater to the cartographer Monroe Solis and the lightweaver Maya Solis, Marin began to show signs of her unusually powerful Lightweaving abilities in her early teens. Due to the nature of her abilities, her mother tried her best to discourage Marin's Lightweaving until she could be enrolled at the prestigious Golden Skies Academy in Indrebor.
After a little under two years at the academy, Marin began to grow frustrated with the academia, desiring to see the world from the deck of a skyship, and to put her gifts to use guiding a crew on their adventures. Before she could complete her training, word came from home that tradgedy had struck; both of her parents had been lost on a cartography voyage - their small ship found abandoned, both assumed to be swept overboard.
Marin dropped out of the academy, returning home to resolve her family's affairs. She later formally requested to join the Lightweaver's Guild, being refused upon her interview after the Guildmasters witnessed the unpleasant nature of her gifts.
With the Lightweaver's Guild shunning her, Marin took her dreams directly to the Skyfarer's Guild, and eventually being offered a chance to join the crew of The Twilight Endeavour, replacing the retiring captain Thalos Stormwind as the ship's Lightweaver.
Marin is a water genasi with a quarter air genasi heritage, making her more comfortable at sea, but competent at sensing and interpreting air currents at high altitudes, helping her better gauge the Endeavour's course.
