Aesir-Vanir War
A war between the sons of Buri, Njord and Bor. It is usually considered the first war in the Conquest of the Nine Realms.
The war ended in decisive victory for Asgard.
The youngest son of Buri, Mimir, had been given to Njord as a peace-hostage prior to the war. After Vanaheim's defeat, Njord had his brother killed, and sent his decapitated head to Bor. Bor had the head placed in the Well of Wisdom - the magic of the Well revived Mimir and granted him the gift of prophesy, making him the most powerful seer in the Nine Realms.
