Although it has been only thee generations, a combination of high background magic and the extremely long lifespans of Giants and Asgardians means that Buri is the subject of more myth than confirmed history. According to Aesir myth, Buri was the son of Ymyr, the first Giant. However, the Vanir record that he was born, fully formed, from the primordial darkness of Ginnungagap.
