Summer, or as they call it here in Dusk, rainy season Part Four. — Miserable Toreworld citizen.
We've reached near the end of Summer Camp and though I made a late start, I've completed 8 articles earning me the copper/bronze badge.
Thanks to Summer Camp giving me the little bit of extra motivation to write with their prompts, whereas otherwise I would have had decision-fatigue before I even attempted to start, the Toreworld is looking a bit fuller. Things are beginning to connect to each other.
I've made progress on the world's nations and cities - they all have leaders now, and capitals. Some of them even have languages and descriptions - I'm working on that. It's difficult to not get lost down a rabbit hole, and that's the other thing I'm thankful to Summer Camp for keeping me on track, with only a little meandering along the way. (See the vampiric
Blood Moth which I had way too much fun with.)
Once the countries have enough detail to be left as stub articles to expand on, I'm planning to work on the religions of the world.
Croibhism and
Euferism have been developed a little, because of the prompts I chose for Summer Camp, but I'm going to lay it all out in a nice readable article format for each of them, as well as fleshing out the other religions and making sure that all the details match up in the various novels.
If there's anything you'd like to see, or want me to discuss, feel free to leave a comment. I'd be so interested to see what catches other people's attention/what aspects you might be interested in and explore them further.
On that note, I also was AMAZED to see that we've reached 1k views... That's insane... Thank you for all of your kind patronage, your likes and your comments, I really do appreciate it, and I hope that you enjoy coming on this little journey to further explore the Toreworld with me!
As for what's next, now that we've officially gone over 60k of world-building - a novel in itself, even if the words need editing - I'm intending to get some solid foundations to the world, so that any links you click won't just lead to nowhere. It might be some hard grinding of basic articles, but it will be worth it in the long run. I also might push myself to do some more prompts, though I doubt I'll reach anywhere near silver by the end of the month. I'm not worried about winning, it's just be fun to try and push myself to creating something in a certain format as a writing exercise.
Below are a few of the articles I've written recently that I intend to flesh out further, but are pretty important parts of the world.
Til next time :)
