Azendipan

I am eternally grateful to the Virtuemen of Tipran. Without their having bored their political colleagues to death it might have been hard to win independence.
— Ibirochi Mād, Founder of the Wyrdhouse of Azendipan in the first parliamentary speech of the Azendipani government.
Originally a province of Tipran, Azendipan has long been known for its artistic cultural scene, with entertainers and artists almost as ubiquitous as the peninsula's waterfalls. Living for centuries in defiance of the rest of Tipran's stoic, serious nature, Azendipan has produced many great artists and sculptors, and musicians, and is the only place in the world magical bards, known as Wyrdsmiths, are trained. Capitalising on the Haphzarian-Tiprani war, Azendipan became independent in the late 14th century, and uses its wealth and connections in royal courts to stave off invasion from its neighbour Tipran.
