Hardby
Hardby is a large city set on the edge of Woolly Bay, and it has a long history, with deep ties to the Free City of Greyhawk. The city has a booming trade and fishing industry, having great access to the sea. The main roads here are often wet due to the nearness of the ocean, and the frequent rain. The air in all parts of the city smells of salt water. The city is divided into four different quarters, the Hardbian Quarter, the Far-trader's Quarter, the Business Quarter and the Blue Docks. The Hardbian Quarter is on the northern side of the city, and is where most of its inhabitants live. The streets here are covered with drying clothing, washbasins and playing children, making it a bit of a noisy place, though certainly not the noisiest. The Far-trader's Quarter is a large marketplace that smells strongly of spices and seafood. Here merchants from near and far sell exotic goods, such as intricate jewelry, fine clothing and furniture, street cooked food and much more to both the traveler and Hardbian alike. The Business Quarter is the neatest and the quietest district. It is filled with many large and official looking buildings that many guilds and businesses use for their practices. It is also where the Town Hall is located, where the city council has its weekly meetings. The Blue Docks is the busiest and wettest part of the city. Here, tons of fish and goods from afar are hauled onto the docks and moved into the city. The air here is thick with sailor slang, song and the smell of fish, its not a good place to be unless you're looking for ship passage, manual labor, or a place to get a bite to eat.
