Alanaxala

A planet in the Aldis System.
Alanaxala is a warm planet - but is slightly too hot for most life to happen. It is the 7th planet from the star, and has a surface temperature of about 70C. Alanaxala is rich in various metal ores. Due to this, it is being mined by the Xalarin Council, who set up 2 large space elevators on the world to move resources from the ground to space. Interestingly, the same containers that move material from the surface to space also refine the ore during the trip, and energy can be fed to the tower from other starships. Energy obtained by the space elevator is also sent to the surface via the space elevator itself. This allows the XC to easily power the planet despite the extreme lack of potentially energy generating material on the world. Very little radioisotopes were found, and hydrogen was also in very limited supply. The surface also almost entirely lacks any liquid, which contributes to making the world relatively safe to mine.
The planet has earned a reputation for being relatively valuable and easy to mine.
