Eta Orjans IV

4th and last planet in the Eta Orjans System.   Because this planet has been bombarded with a stellar supernova from a massive star, the huge atmosphere of this planet (which was once a gas giant) ionized and escaped the planet but not before scorching every corner of the solid core, which is now the only thing left. This solid core has cooled down over the millions of years between the supernova and the Hyperion Federation finding this system.   Like the other planets in the system, this world was found to have magnetic monopoles form, which are one of the rarest forms of exotic matter known. These have likely formed under the extreme, exotic conditions resulting from the supernova. Unlike other planets, though, this planet is relatively new, and the supernova event has scorched it much deeper than the other planets. Due to this, and the superior heat preservation of this planet, the core of this planet is still active and not entirely frozen over. This has allowed a very small amount of life to evolve, but the conditions prevent widespread growth of life. This life has made use of the monopoles present to grow into highly unique forms that are normally impossible under normal laws of biology. Life on this planet is insignificant enough that it is incredibly difficult to find.
