Granolas VIII

Ice giant located in the Granolas System. 
Granolas VIII is fairly valuable, but not as valuable as Granolas I or Granolas III. It has a large number of defence platforms orbiting it, though not a very large number. The planet has a large amount of hydrogen which can be exploited for fusion fuel. It also has some heavier gaseous elements such as oxygen and nitrogen though, so it is an excellent source of most elements up to approximately neon. There are also various starship wreckages from multiple wars that have entered the ice giants atmosphere. These have been torn apart by immense pressures and storms long ago. The core might then feature a decent quantity of metal elements, but very few factions (only the Hyperion Federation) are capable of detecting it and the HF has many metal ore sources.
The planet is also defended. It has a lot of defence platforms orbiting it, but not as many as on Granolas I or III. It also has a large number of shipyards that can refuel many ships using the hydrogen obtained from the world. This is, of course, unusable as starship fuel by the HF but they still use Transmutation Reactors to create usable matter plasma from gas collected form the world. The HF are careful to not place any of their technology on the planet, or they risk other factions recovering it. However they do know that most Arcturus factions cannot detect objects in dense atmospheres like this ice giant, so the HF often adopts strategies of placing their ships in gas giants where they are very difficult to destroy.
