Guranar Space Elevator
Space elevator that has been built on Urgand a, the Anagon home neutron star.
Normally, the extreme gravity from the neutron star would tear any material apart. However, the anagons made use of the very fast rotation of the star to help. Due to this, they built it on the equator, but a lot of resources were used on this project. This is the ultimate symbol of the anagon peoples' progress. This project used more neutronium crystal than any other; the material needed to be strong and not relatively fluid-like like normal neutron QCD matter. Once it was built, however, it gave the anagons far easier access into space. The extreme gravity of the neutron star almost entirely prevents them from space travel otherwise, so the space elevator was almost entirely constructed on the surface of the star itself.
The anagon technocracy wouldnt allow their single greatest achievement to be destroyed by enemies. The space elevator is well armed and forms the primary shipyard of the technocracy. There are also a huge number of defence platform stations orbiting their homeworld. Even their allies such as the Hyperion Federation and Republic of Miasi help defend it. Starships are built on the space elevator itself rather than the surface and moved up. Power is also transported to the shipyard with a large secondary cable that runs from the surface. Of course, the space elevator itself has a very large power requirement so there are a number of power plants around the space elevator.
