Scout Cavalry
In the Military of Aria, Scout Cavalry is the fast, lightly armored units used in picket and scout duty. Typically mustered in Company-sized units and attached as suport to large Heavy Cavalry formations, these troopers are the eyes of the Arian armies in the field.

Equipment
Plate cuirass and conical helm, small cavalry shield, unbarded mount and 7-days rations.
Weaponry
Iron-tipped lance, short sword, short bow, knife/dagger/hand axe
Structure
Typically 60 troopers to a Company, led by a Captain of Scout Cavalry and a Troop Sergeant.
Tactics
Fast and highly mobile movement that allows for the rapid gain and spread of information on the battlefield. Capable of support roles during combat, and limited support in cavalry charges/maneuvers.
