Stone Giants
Stone Giants are a species of the Gigantae family, the last of the Noble Giants and the most widely distributed of all the Noble races of Giants. Stone Giants can be found scattered all over the known world. Typically found in small families or groups living in remote and rugged moutain regions, these Giants are highly intelligent and very social. They seem to live to an extraordinary age, and are fond of dispensing wisdom and advice to other races that seek it.
Stone Giants stand between 18' and 24' tall, and weigh as much as 5,500 lbs, but are not nearly as heavily muscled or densely build as their other Noble Giant cousins. The move very slowly, always seemingly deep in contemplative thought, or will spend days sitting in one spot staring into the distance. Stone Giants are characterized by tough, thick leathery skin of a muted or pallid color. This rough skin gives all Stone Giant a decidedly aged appearance, even the youngest of them. Their hair and beards are universally gray or white, also adding to their aged look. They prefer long, loose-fitting robes of rough spun cloth for their clothing.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Stone Giants are the smallest of the Noble Giants, on average. Ranging between 18' and 24' tall, and weighing around 5,000 lbs. They have a more slender appearance than cousins, the Frost and Storm Giants, but are still incredibly strong creatures when angered or threatened.
Biological Traits
Huge and immensely strong creatures, but not overly muscled. White hair, rough skin, and a slow, stooped gait give Stone Giants of any age the appearance of great age.

Behaviour
Highly intelligent and quite social in nature, but they do not go out of their way to find or interact with other species. Nor do they seem to go out of their way to interact with their own species. Additional Information
Social Structure
Known to live in small family groups or communities, but quite often encountered alone in the mountains or forests.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
As with any Giant, body parts are rare and extremely valuable as magical or medicinal components. Some unsavory rumors speak of an illicit trade in the thumbs of Stone Giants, as ancient myths speak of these as the means to see into the future. No actual evidence for this exists, and the aquiring of these thumbs would be an amazingly dangerous effort on anyone's part.
