Werthina grew up as a close friend of Tanny Nari and Alayna Ohnni, so close in fact that the girls were all but inseperable in all things. Alayna's tragic death during childbirth and Tanny's broken relationship with her brother, Turl am Nari (the husband of Alayna) drove a wedge between the girls that has nevver healed. The breaking of that friendship has hardened Werthina's heart more than anything else in her life.
