Tanny Nari

Her Grace, the Duchess Tanny Ahmi- Nari

Tanny Nari was born the youngest child of Duke Torn am Nari, the previous Duke of Hekmo and the man often remembered as the "Good Duke".    Tanny was her father's favorite, delighting her father almost daily. Knowing Tanny had grown very fond of a dashing young nobleman from Len Doa named Lennis am Ahmi, who had recently been made the new Duke of Ben Doa, Torn arranged the marriage of the two and had the affair conducted at Hekmo with all the pomp and ceremony that he could afford (and he could afford much pomp and ceremony).

Personal history

Tanny met Lennis am Ahmi at Northridge when she was 20 years old and he was 17. The dashing and handsome young knight made a bold first impression, and Tanny could think of nothing but marrying the youth as soon as possible. Her father, reluctant to marry off his favorite child, arranged the marriage regardless and in 196 AF, at Hekmo Keep, they were wed in a huge ceremony and celebration. Tanny and Lennis were very happy together, and genuinely loved one another. Their four children all favored their father with blonde hair and blue eyes, to Tanny's delight.   In 212 AF, at the battle of Nyallshold during the Second Northern War, Lennis was killed and much of the battle's misfortune was laid on teh head of Lennis by the Duke of Hekmo and his son. This broke Tanny's heart, and for teh rest of her life she hated her brother and his entire family, and has pushed her son, Leland am Ahmi, to side with Mak II and to shun the High King's Court.

Mental Trauma

Her only brother's betrayal of her beloved husband has caused her uncounted nights of pain and grief.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

After the death of her husband, Lennis, Tanny shut her emotions off and simply lived a life of methodical routine.  She died of a stroke at the age of 55, after 19 years of mourning and loss.

Social

Contacts & Relations

In her youth, Tanny was very close to Werthina Loke and Alayna Ohnni.  The girls were inseperable in all things, moreso even then sisters could expect to be.  When Alayna died tragically in childbirth, the bond was shaken but not severed.  However, when Tanny realized her brother had been complicit in her husband's death and dishonor, she vowed to never see or speak to Turl and to shun anyone that associated with him... including Werthina.
