Mythbreak
The town of Mythbreak is located towards the border of the The Tsaeci Empire within the lands of Xosutan Kingdom. This town is a prime trading spot where caravans from Xosutan and from Tsaeci will hand off goods before returning to their respective lands, although most goods rarely stay in town having the first pick of the finest goods heading into Xosutan gives the wealthy of Mythbreak a lifestyle comparable to those in the capital.
Demographics
The majority of the town is human with Elven, Half-Elven, and Dragonborn that also make up significant portions population, with small numbers of various other species making up insignificant percentages of the population.
Government
Mythbreak is ruled by a Satrap which is similar to a governor, however it is a position chosen by the Emperor of Xosutan and not a locally elected position.
Defences
Although the town once had a stone wall, the defenses have long since fallen into disrepair and a small garrison of Kingdom troops supplement the local guard.
Industry & Trade
Mythbreak is primarily a trading outpost, lying on the gateway to the plains and deserts of the Tsaeci this is a first stop for many goods entering the Xosutan Kingdom.
Infrastructure
Mythbreak is an ancient town, once a much larger settlement, even a city at one point, now the majority of the people in the town live in what used to be the 'downtown' of the old city, with the edges of the settlement being empty dilapidated stone ruins, used as a quarry by the town to repair the still lived in buildings, and by seedier organizations as a good place to hide and conduct business.
Districts
Mythbreak is broken up into the Market District, Guild Through, and Cathedral Square, with the rest mainly being residential or minor commercial locations.
Guilds and Factions
Two guilds are dominant in the town, one being the Merchants Guild of Xosutan, and the Freeswords guild, the former operating a large guild hall that controls all the trade coming into Mythbreak, and the later operating only a small guild hall that deals with divying out jobs to guild members that are entering or exiting Xosutan.
Points of interest
The Stone Dragon: A colossal petrified dragon stands over the street. It is said that the dragon will be made flesh again if any descendant of the wizard who imprisoned it passes by without leaving a coin.
The Trickster and Cauldron: A large commoner's inn, which serves only cider.
Shiyani's Pewter: The workshop of a male human pewtersmith named Jali Shiyani, who is rumored to mint special leaden coins for the Assassin's Guild of The Shuze Confederacy.
Architecture
This town features the ancient Xosutan architecture known for its stone buildings with nearly impossible designs, although only the oldest buildings in town still hold on to this original work, with many being simple structures built from the old stone from the ruined buildings.
Geography
Located far from any river and at the edge of a large forest that breaks away into the rolling plains of the western Tsaeci Empire, this town enjoys the fact that it can be seen from miles around, making it an easy landmark for travelers.
