Whispering Peaks
The Whispering Peaks, a small but formidable mountain range, stands as a natural barrier between the serene expanse of the Celestwood and the outside world. Nestled on three sides by the towering trees of the Celestwood.
Veiled in perpetual mist, the Whispering Peaks appear to converse with the winds that sweep through their craggy crevices, creating a haunting symphony that lends them their evocative name. The range is characterized by its rugged terrain, adorned with rocky outcroppings and secluded alpine meadows, each exuding an air of quiet mystique.
The Whispering peaks are home to far flung giant tribes and a few secluded temples to gods such as Shokothre and Etus. These tribes regularly descend from the peaks in the summer to attack nearby villages in the Xosutan Empire, spiriting away their captives, or loot, to the mountains.
Treks through these peaks are treasured experiences, offering glimpses of rare flora and fauna as well as the opportunity to discover hidden enclaves where the barriers between the natural and supernatural seem to blur. Many tales tell of explorers who, guided by the enigmatic whispers carried on the wind, have stumbled upon secrets both wondrous and perilous within the heart of the Whispering Peaks.
