“So April. What is this?”
The hunk of metal Donatello dropped on the table in front of April was nowhere close to anything she recognized. She glanced up at the four brothers, wondering if they were serious, but they were all staring at her intently, waiting for an answer they were confident she had.
“Um, well…” April hesitantly poked the metal. A piece fell off. She didn’t want to disappoint them, but she really had no idea what in the world they’d put in front of her.
“It’s a human thing,” Raph informed her.
“You do know that I don’t know everything about every human , right?” April cocked an eyebrow.
“Of course!” Donnie said. Behind him, his brothers glanced at each other awkwardly.
“Okay,” April squinted at them. “Then you’ll understand when I say I have absolutely no clue what this is.”
Ouch, okay that didn’t help the guilty feeling she had at the boys’ shoulders slumping in disappointment.
“I see…” Donnie mumbled, starting to chew on the tail of his mask.
“Where’s Splinter-san?” April glanced around the cabin. “Did you ask him about it?”
“Out meditating by the pond,” Leo replied. “We haven’t told him about it yet. He gets all weird when new stuff like this shows up, so we wanted to ask you first.”
“What’s up with this thing anyway?” April asked, prodding at it some more. “Fucked up toaster?”
Synopsis
The boys ask for the help of
April to figure out what the
Mousers are and where they came from. They eventually come to the conclusion that they came from a lab in the city known as
Stockgen, and that for whatever reason, they are stealing
mutagen canisters from the
reservoir.
Raphael gets the idea to sneak into town to investigate and see the city.
