Kipap Shortlegs

Kipap Shortlegs is a Kobold Artificer from Gwyllan's Watch, where he lived with a kobold colony in the great sewers of the city. Even from a young age, he showed a knack for invention, creating things to make life in his warren more pleasant for everyone. When a group of Adventurers entered the sewer to rid the city of a dangerous creature that laired there, Kipap was fascinated. He volunteered to lead them through the sewers, and he pestered them with questions the whole way. His natural tendency to scavenge things often made him pause, which led to one of the adventurers often calling to him, "Keep up, short legs!"
After the monster was slain, the adventurers left, and, for the first time, Kipap began to wonder about the city beyond the sewers. He began to explore Gwyllan's Watch in small doses at night, learning and absorbing everything he could. Sometimes, he got to observe other inventors, and he picked up little tricks of what they were doing, becoming an Artificer almost by osmosis. Finally, he knew it was time to leave his sewer, and an offer for his services as someone who was familiar with locks, traps, and technology attracted the attention of the mysterious Façade and her Benefactor. She offered him a job that would take him far from home and bring him into contact with ancient technologies he could hardly even imagine. He jumped at the opportunity, and he adopted the name the adventurers had bestowed upon him, Kipap Shortlegs. Now, along with Hobb Gunderson, Ignatius Stoatmoor, Kylon Strongtusk, Misi, and Thomas Bontemps, Kipap is off to Velnar.
Kipap is good-natured and inquisitive, often exploring towns on his own in search of materials to scavenge for his projects. He is curious and social, but he also loves to slip off alone.
