Rigel ap Balorann

Dame Rigel ap Balorann was an Eladrin Paladin of Conquest. She felt she was grievously wronged by Landyn Kassryx, whom she loved, and she sought vengeance against all those of his line who enter the Feywild. When Kidalis Havengard came to the Feywild as a child, she began to seek him out, sensing House Kassryx blood. Unfortunately for her, on his childhood incursion and on the more recent travels of the Fire Wasps, he was on the lands of the Marquis Damarion ap Tythion, and she was not allowed in. She finally resolved to get her revenge by luring Kidalis to her, and she took steps to bring the group by means of kidnapping Granmere Odetta Brambleberry, because she didn’t want Kidalis to know the trap was for him. Although she didn’t sense Kidalis, she could see that the other Fire Wasps had come. She brought forth Blackroot Treants in the Murkendraw, but, to her frustration, they evaded her trap. She contented herself to be patient, waiting with her hand-picked group at the Chateau Sans Pitie. She was joined by:

In the end, she was slain. She died lamenting that, “I knew he never truly loved me…but he found you, after all the centuries.” It was unclear what she meant, but her words were directed at Tristan and seemed to involve Kidalis. The revelation that Tristan was a House Tarmoore heir, given Kassryx's devotion to the Tarmoore kings, gives some context to this. For now, however, what her true motivations were remain something of a mystery.
