Orcish Steppes

 

Although the Orcish Steppes and their God-King Laminok Bloodfist are no longer the world-endangering threat they were some 1,000 years ago, the chaos of the Second Witching War allowed them to push back the borders of Tavanion, Dalenshire, and Summerlund to carve lands for themselves in the southern lands of Aldorath. These lands, mostly arid and made inhospitable by Orcish depredations, have become known as the Orcish Steppes.

The harshest blow for many years was that the island of Sudwaine, previously part of Summerlund, was captured and turned into the orcish city-temple of Sharbaduk. This gave orcish corsairs a port in the south from which to raid. When Sudwaine was liberated in the War of the Broken Chain, however, this insult was finally ended.
