The Fire Wasps find Tarkantus and others pretending to be them in the Old Manse. They slay the impostors and reclaim their home.

Upon their return from the Feywild, the Fire Wasps find that no one seems to recognize them as they get close to their home in Seowyn's Crossing. Only people with extremely strong emotional ties to them (Tristan Holdfast's family at the Minstrel's Tarry and Marta Furrow, who despises the Shaper, for example) are able to see them for who they are.   They discover this is due to the machinations of Tarkantus, the Sorcerer they had defeated months previous. He had used his Far Realm based powers to make most people believe that he and his minions were the Fire Wasps and had taken up residence in the Old Manse.   The Fire Wasps soon ended this charade and were able to slay Tarkantus before he could teleport away.
