Ram Knight

The Ram Knight is an honorary title passed down amongst the leaders of the Pilgrimite Legion. They are mostly elected based on organizational skills rather than prowess in battle, but the current Ram Knight excels in both. Their armor has been enchanted to protect against the forces of Chaos as well as those of the Order, while the Ram Knight himself is a holy Paladin of the Order, which grants him magical abilities.
While the identity of the Ram Knight is mostly unknown to those outside of the legion, his reputation is not. The Ram Knight is rumored to be an immortal champion of the Order, capable of smelling the taint of Chaos and defeat it wherever he goes. While the reality of the Ram Knight is much less dramatic, these legends aren’t far-fetched by any means.
The Ram Knight does and is expected to lead the Pilgrimite Legion by example. He travels the lands of the Blakfort Kingdom with a group of his most trusted Legionnaires on an eternal hunt for the Chaos worshippers and other, chaotic entities. Even if he is on another mission, he always finds the time to eliminate the hated heretics.

The secrecy of the Ram Knight’s identity was an intentional decision by the founders of the Pilgrimite Legion. The name and sight of the Ram Knight strikes fear into the heart of any chaos worshipper in the realm. The Ram Knight is known for showing mercy in certain situations, such as with cooperating individuals and those that help him in some way. Also, he prefers to leave just a few survivors to spread the tales of the Ram Knight.

Equipment

Armor

The Ram Knight wears a set of enchanted armor which has been crafted by Drow blacksmiths a few hundred years ago. It has been passed down between the consecutive Ram Knights, so they always appear the same. This armor is extremely valuable and protective, furthering the immortal image of the Ram Knight.

• The first layer of armor is the only one that is different between the various Ram Knights as it is a set of padded armor, which would deteriorate over the centuries. It covers the Ram Knight from head to toe and even includes head protection to a degree.
• Over the padded armor, the Ram Knight wears chainmail, which covers the entirety of the padded armor. It is made of hardened steel and stops about any blade.
• On top of the chainmail, the Ram Knight wears the enchanted set of adamantine plate armor, which envelops his body almost completely, only leaving gaps where his joints and eyes are. This set of plate is rumored to be nigh-impenetrable.
• The Ram Knight's helmet is his most recognizable piece of armor. The origin of this helmet has been lost to time.
• Integrated into the armor, the Ram Knight also wears a surcoat, which protects his armor from the elements and also provides some aesthetic break in the plate armor.

Weapons

Each Ram Knight has their preferred weapon, with most of them keeping their billhooks as that's what they are most capable with. The current Ram Knight chose a different route. He wields two longswords, one in each of his hands. This makes him far more capable of dealing with lightly armored opponents. In case he is disarmed, he also carries a dagger as a back-up weapon.
