Verdurias

The Verdurias, the Verdant Sea, is one of the Ornassi Mains, divisions of the Farther Waters made by mariners during the Fifth World. The Verdurias is bounded by the The Gloaming to its north, Zafara to its south, Algoboa to its west, and Seotan to its east. While not as vast as the Alburias, it is about parity in size with the Lazurias and far more contiguous, and includes the Demon Sea found between the three continents. It is the warmest sea of the Farther Waters, and noted for its distinct green hue. This is in part because of it being choked with algae and sargassum, a constant hazard for sailors through this area. The warm waters also give rise to the monsoon climes of the nearby continents, as well as terrifying typhoons spawned mostly from the Demon Sea.
