Goddess of Knowledge and Secrets (a.k.a. Lady of Secrets)

Mano's domains are both intertwined and opposing. She is the gatekeeper of knowledge, tasked with controlling the stream of knowledge needed to maintain advancement and innovation on Valine without overhwelming mortals. Accordingly she also decides what remains shrouded in secrecy. This flow of information is, at times, also limiting to what the other gods are permitted to know, though this is mostly reflected in events rather than practical matters and is dictated by decrees from Eruer or Gama. Rarely does Mano unilaterally conceal something from another god.
Mano is not one of the children of Gama and Eruer however, she was created by Zadkush, God of Light, and Tehsus, Avatar of Magic - one of two offspring of their ongoing divine love affair (the other being Qyrad, God of Disease).
Mano is wed to Hunia , God of Beasts and the Hunt - another deity sprung not from Gama and Eruer, but in his case the child of Jopha, Deity of Nature and Udros, God of Music and the Arts. Together, Mano and Hunia created Enesis, God of Healing and the first of the third generation of divine beings.
A goddess revered by scholars, her temples are more like great libraries than traditional holy sites, and many followers of Tehsus feel a close kinship with worshippers of Mano. There is always a baseline tension, however, between Tehsus and Mano as the Avatar of Magic is keen to speed the flow of arcane knowledge into the world, particularly with the rise in technology through devices like firearms and the marriage of magic and technology in the increasing number of technologists in Valine.
Mano most often appears as an old blind dwarf in any forays onto Valine itself, weighed down with heavy books and relying on a carved wooden staff for support. She likes to measure an individual by how they treat the old, wise and knowledgeable and more than one soul has found themselves blessed with knowledge upon helping an elder, just as the unkind have found themselves forgetting skills, facts or even people that were once important to them.
