Cannonball Trade Company
Existing as one of the largest independent trade companies in Ikune, Cannonball Trading Company (CTC) comes under the purview of the highest ranking personnel within the company, promoted from deckhands up through the ranks until they eventually became admirals of the company's fleets. A single exception exists for the Samkrir family, who the company owes a large amount of its success to thanks to its founders, Anjulio and Dinhildr Samkrir being the pioneers behind the company's secrets to travel the oceans unguided by magic. The company protects these secrets zealously, being the only major entity within Ikune with the knowledge and determined to keep it so, with their methods becoming more invasive with each leak that occurs. As of 527, this has gone as far as forcing their high ranking captains, the only ones to be trained in the knowledge, to swear an oath that is magically binding.
The company itself is a trading company thriving on the business of buying and selling any variety of legal goods all across the oceans of Ikune, with the size of the company only lending them more credit for the swift transport of goods and people to their destinations. In return for their services, the company owns property within most major harbors in Ikune that are often unregulated by the cities at large, giving the company ample of freedom. A few rumors persist of the current leadership wishing for the company to claim true sovereignty, but so far nothing has come of it and outwardly the company projects an image of friendliness, despite their at times ruthless competition.
