Ikune
Formerly the bureaucratic center of the Ni'rral Empire, the region of Ikune has fallen far since the Empire's golden age. The peace of the region hangs in thin threads, as the Free Cities of Forwire sense the Empire's growing weakness; at the same time the approaching Idran Tribes proves a risk to the region as a whole, as few can say what would happen if the Empire falls completely, leaving large amounts of land for the taking for the ambitious.
Seasons
as Ikune is located closer to the equator of the world, the seasons of the region are less changing. For the northern regions it means that most people have not experienced snow, with the exceptions of those who have been to the mountains or during some of the coldest winters in the Empire's recorded history. The weather however still tends to become cold enough that the common crops of the northern regions do not grow in winter. Contrasting this, the southern regions are almost always warm enough for crops to grow. Here, they pay more attention to the shifting seasons which serves as warnings for the most commonly expected weather. While smaller regions might have more dedicated seasons, the universally agreed ones within the south are the rain and dry seasons.Northern Ikune
Northern Ikune consists of the bigger landmasses and is where most of the Ni'rral Empire can be found, alongside with Idran Tribes, Aevir Thrones and the Free Cities of Forwire. The northern regions are known for their more stable climates thanks to their distance from the volcanic isles in the south. With the relative environmental stability, travellers have an easier time traversing the terrain and it has provided plenty for settlements and cities to grow and expand, with resources to go around.Southern Ikune
Southern Ikune is characterized by consisting primarily of peninsulas and islands. It is here that Drissau and Dulinri can be found, alongside the so-called Archway Bridge. A stretch of land between the Empire and Drissau that is not officially under any nation's control, but serves as a territory of neutrality between the two powerful nations. Due to the volcanic activity of the Ketrikkhaz Archipelago, the region is notably warmer than the northern regions and almost universally tropical. The weather and climate is harsher, with many of the people living there having acclimated to the sometimes sudden changes at the cost of often developing smaller settlements designed so they can resist it better.
