xiliqua

Xiliqua is a Lustrian herbal jungle plant with an interesting medicinal use. Xiliqua, in the Saurian tongue, direct translates into "fire blood."
If chewed xiliqua root will trigger a severe but generally not life threatening fever in warmblooded creatures such as humans or elves.
If chewed by one of the First, it will warm their cold blooded body for several hours, letting them remain active in colder environments that would ordnarily slow them down or even kill them outright.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Xiliqua plants grow wild in Lustria, but the plant does not have any unusual traits making it unable to be cultivated. Most Lizardmen population centers have at least a few xiliqua gardens.
Lizardmen who regularly go questing outside of Lustria's jungles often require large quantities of xiliqua root. As the Slann become more active and order more quests, Skinks have begun creating new xiliqua gardens to meet this burgeoning demand.
