Camelot N. Azure
In the Pacific Northwest corner, in what is considered some of the most beautiful country in North Azure is the Capital city of Camelot. This part of North Azure is teaming with fish, game, rich farmland, rivers, trees, and beautiful country. Camelot is the Capital of Avalon the western Realm of North Azure. Newly crowned King Arthur XVIII strives to continue to carry his family linage. The War of the Ancients was costly war to the realm many villages, cities, and lands suffered from the destruction of the war. The Pendragon line has spent the last 500 years rebuilding lands, farms, cities, and villages through out the realm. Unfortunately it has been a long slow progress. The Population of Camelot is around 1,549,840 citizens. Even though King Arthur is human all races live in harmony in Camelot. Camelot is the foundation of Avalon. The city of Camelot was actually started by the Egyptian Narmer Dynasty in the year -9798 AD and was the capital of Dynasty till the Discovery of Atlantis in the year -9687 which became the capitial of the Egyptian Dynasty until the fall of Atlantis in the year -5000 AD. The Egyptians in the beginning build Cairo in true Egyptian fashion with solid gold statues of their pantheons and important Pharaohs. The state buildings were made with pure marble lined with gold made in different colors imported from Sappire. The nobles live in gold lined brick buildings made from the slaves that were captured from the local area and imported from Sappire as well. For over 100 years Cairo was one of the wonders of all YonZora. Then with the discovery of Atlantis it became the new capital and Cairo was abandon by the high nobility of the Egyptian nobles as they moved to the great city of Atlantis. Cairo was still used as a major trade port and a huge market for the slave trade that moved from Sappire to Azure. When the natural disaster that literally wiped out the great city of Atlantis in the year -5000 once again Cairo became the capital of the surviving Egyptian dynasty, but were very weak. This weakened dynasty only lasted till the year -4955 AD with the start of the Unification war started by Uther Pendragon. The local clans that were still free were tired of the mistreatment and taxes of the dynasty trying to rebuild their losses. Plus a new threat was starting to show up on the shores of Cairo with black flags waving of the II legion poking and looking to expand its territory in to northern Azure. This war lasted 15 years before Uther Pendragon was able to defeat not only the remaining Egyptian empire, but also the Black legion empire chasing them out of the NW region Azure as well. The 12 Clans that united under the colors of the Dragon clan asked Uther to be the new king of this region. Uther Changed the NW region to Avalon and renamed the Capitial city of Cairo to Camelot. Uther ruled for another 25 years laying the foundation for the modern city today. His son Arthur and the rest of the Pendragon line have build Camelot in to the beautiful city that it is know for today. Uther took all the Egyptian gold from the statues, building and brick and funded the project to lay the foundation of the city. In the center of Camelot is a temple to the Pantheon of Bahamut and a cemetery honoring the fallen knights of the round table and of course the Order of the Phoenix. Then in true round table fashion a circle of the different temples of the Greek pantheons circle the temple of Bahamut. From there the keep was built. Each newly crowned Pendragon continued to add and built to Camelot including the port making it one of the greatest wonders of YonZora. Even more beautiful and greater than the Egyptian dynasty's. with the exception of the legendary city of Atlantis.
