The group stands ready to move on the Singing Monolith and face Urulay, who stands on the verge of raising it from its ancient grave.
The group makes their way to towards the singing monolith amid a massive forest of petrified shapes.
A group of decaying cypherwights bears down on the party, threatening not just them, but the townspeople they came to protect. Will the party be able to survive the coming onslaught? There is only one way to find out!
Having met safeguard, it seems a new, greater threat as revealed itself, one beyond anything the party could have originally imagined. Urulay seeks to raise the Singing Monolith, a creation of the Ancients that, according to Safeguard's followers, will change the world irreparably should it occur. They enter pass through a long hidden seal into a strange place, a part of the temple built by the Ancients themselves. A strange creature rises to meet them, one with no head save a swirling mass of energy. It speaks in a voice that sounds only in the party's heads, casually saying were sent to die. It remains to be seen if this is the case.
The group faces down a new foe, an undead creature fused with tek and capable of raising the dead to fight for it. How will the group fight on to save the villagers? Are there any villagers left to save?
Somewhere deep beneath the ruins of the Takarar monastery are not only the kidnapped viligers the group has been paid to find, but also clues to the Ancients' cache and the wizard seeking it--or perhaps seeking something much worse. To move forward, however, the group will have to contend with the goblins who have taken up residence in the ruin, goblins who seem to be waging a battle of their own at the behest of somethone, or something, called Safeguard.
Down into the ruined temple within Crooked Hills the party goes.
The area around the remote Lionish town of Caracara is one shied away from by the townsfolk, known only as the home for a particularly strange band of goblins and a cult of prophecy that faded into near obscurity centuries ago. But when the group is drawn to the sleepy town to investigate the strange influx of tek around the town's annual festival, things may indeed turn out stranger, and more dangerous, than they appear.
(This is a kind of preview session to give everyone a chance to get used to VTT and work out any kinks with regards to its use. It will be with 2nd level chars that can be the one's you're using for the main campaign, or different ones if you so wish. The short adventure won't have anything intrinsically to do with the main campaign, but can easily flow into it.) In a small Commonwealth community near the Lionen border, when word goes quiet from a nearby tek mine, many in town grow concerned. But when one of the miners is found dead only a short distance from town with strange wounds across his body, the local Archon discretely collects a group of local adventures to investigate the issue, an issue with more at stake than many may know.
