Session 9 - The Orchid Report
General Summary
As the party awaited their rendezvous with Jondam Klefta, the spent their day, on various activities. Winnow and Feyre earned money from their jobs, while Dac created a makeshift visor and Rayla continued training Maeve Glitterwing in hairpin aerial acrobatic turns in Hollow.
Gunn elected to see if he could visit Nance while she was detained at Hewnholm Tower.
Agathe Fentheana joined Winnow of dinner and clarified something's about Rayla. She told Winnow that changelings are fey creatures, from the Fey Realm, but were locked on this side of the Fey Gate after the fall. The surving fey formed the community of Hollow. Agather eluded to the notion that the other fey became envious of changelings' abilities to blend into the socieity of Novus at large, and as such, remained hidden for years to come. At Winnow's mother's request, Winnow was not informed about her status as a changeling, locking away her true nature from even herself in order to protect her.
Soon after, the party reconvened at Winnow's apartment, instead finding Moxie in Winnow's stead. Moxie assured the party that Winnow would not be joining them tonight but was cleared to act on Winnow's behalf. Rayla seemed to understand.
The party took the Column lifts to the Copper Ring, (giving Dac a glimpse of some the the elaborate machinery of the Mekanos Infinitum) and eventually made their way to the Lamplight District,
The party/night life atmosphere of the Lamplight District was captivating. Feyre looked for Kenza Kotaris, a swindler who owed her some money, but was unable to locate him.
Sticking to the task, the party made their way to The Orchid, an exclusive nightclub where they were to meet Klefta. They made it inside by dropping Klefta's name.
Inside, they were regaled in song my the alluring songstress Nihmia Fortunato who sang a captivating song. Many delights were on offer at the club, including desserts (and "dessert") for Moxie.
Jondam arrived soon after and laid out the plan to take his private airship -- The Golden Rule -- to the Outer Wilds to retrieve spell components for the spell to resurrect Doxa and to protect Jondam while he performed a communion ritual with Mazarathes - the Ebon Prince.
The party agreed to Jondam's idea and planned to leave the following day to do so. Feyre and Dac left with Jondam to go to Fairwind Skyport to become familiar with the skyship. Meanwhile, Winnow and Rayla stayed behind to see a performance from Venus Cousard, a rare surprise.
Rayla invited Winnow to have tea with her in Hollow.
