Boat and island

We left Waterdeep in the morning of the 26th Ches, after we said our local goodbyes. I left the tankard of sobriety with Roxina. I don't really appreciate the beer taste anyway, and she might have use of it.
On the boat, I read a lot about Gundarlun... well, I also followed Roshanna's lessons and did the exercises she gave me. When my roomate wasn't around. That was nice. A lot to explore ***flush red*** I also tried a bit with the shard of the ise rune to make myself icy before the exercises, and it was even nicer. I should give it back to Narvi though. I think Jay caught on to me about that one :/ (Flush red again)
I tried to be a bit helpful when out of my room, but I think I'm not the best. Roshanna and the crew are awesome. Although Roshanna seemed to be avoiding me. She stayed up top a lot. I had a talk and hug with her though, and she said it was ok.
When we arrived in Gundarlun, I wanted at first to blend in, but Roshanna warned me not to. They will know who is from there or not, and trying to blend in might be offensive.
We decided to land the Aurora into the water and arrive more discreetly to the island. The city of Gundabar was chosen because Roshanna had been there before. It was the 28th in the afternoon when we landed.
There were lots of broken boats in the way though, so we rowed the last bit on the Unruly II that Roshanna unfolded.
Arrived in town, I learned very soon that information is exchanged for money in here. Roshanna apparently knew that well and kept giving gold pieces. I need to reimburse her from the common pot - she single-handedly got us that jewel money anyway!
We learned that a couple of giants had appeared north-east of Gaur this winter on a couple of occasions. The people of Gaur were described as "weird" and having the help of monsters. A cult apparently.
Tog'rak helped me identify that my weird tea was made with a root of juniper. I'm unsure if root tea is my thing. Leaves are usually better I think.
We had a run up with someone following Jay. He was called Faolin and probably is with the cult of the dragon... He got surprised to see Jay alive. We tried to keep him from knowing stuff by playing cards with him all evening... While Roshanna spied on his boat, the Howling Wind. Well, the boat he worked on. I think I got the hang of that card game, but Jay is much better. Roshanna saw a lady in a purple dress in the boat - it's the color of high-people in the cult of the dragon... so suspicious. I wrote and drew all in my Ogma book, we'll see if we can follow them later, they seemed headed for other isles.
We kept Bree informed all along, and the boat was safe. I got worried there that the cult would attack us just on this island.
I had a nice night, but I had nice and unusual dreams. It involved frozen tentacles. Hmm... That must relate to what Jay said yesterday... But I should try, the dreams were nice :P
I'm glad we're back on the Aurora. It's the 29th now, soon the tavern will be opening... But first we need to go to Gaur.
 
I should stop the exercises for a while, it's taking a bit too much of my thoughts :P
