From Cloud Giants to a bar pit-fight

After seeing the cloud giants, we needed to report to Laeral, of course. That went very well, but it also ended up giving us a task in the city for a while before we can go to the oracle again. The family Nimbolo in their castle is just one of many cloud castles moving towards the coast. My sister Korinn told me about that a while ago. We needed the Aurora to do anything about it though, and Bree arrived just in time. This particular castle had a family of 5 cloud giants plus 5 stone giants guards. They should reach Waterdeep the day after tomorrow (today is Chess 22). They say there was an Ostorian fort under Waterdeep and they want to cartography it. We'll need archeologists.
Until then, we also have Jay's friends to take care of. Mostly one, if i understood correctly. He is called Cat? Anyway. He got in jail for the murder of a boy he didn't commit, and later got broken out by a member of Xanathar's guild - only to be -probably tortured and- forced into it. Jay is worried, she already became brain-dead during a fight with Xanathar's guild because of an intellect devourer. That Illithid's pet was a lot nastier than we thought.
But yeah, so we met Smiling Chase again - it was a bit less awkward than last time, i really need to work on this stealthy-blending-in thing, though. He got us a scroll to get into Skullport, and Roshanna learned it. Then, captain Roshanna sailed us on the Unruly II into Skullport. Right now we're in a bar and some of us are about to get into a pit fight in order to get some respect from others so they talk to us. We learned via Laeral that Xanathar's guild higher recruitment rate is coupled to a thing they want taken care of in Skullport, and that's why we're here. We also shouldn't try to meet Xanathar himself nor touch any goldfishes. Not sure why but she was very specific about it. I'm a bit worried about the pit fight, but I also would love to take part in it. I think I also like the fights... Maybe I shouldn't though... My parents are right, it is dangerous. But... Well. I'll be there to heal them afterwards.
On the home front, we have a ghost at the tavern. Lif is his name. He gave his soul to the tavern. We're thinking of naming it "Lifsglädje" - Lif's joy, or "la joie de vivre". I also invited the family to the tavern for a dinner, we haven't had that occasion in a while. This will happen tomorrow night (Ches 23). I'll need to ask mom and dad about possible archeologists available on short notice for the giant problem. We'll see what's possible. I also have a lesson scheduled with Roshanna tonight. I didn't realize it was going to be anything different than normal lessons until it hit me when she mentionned that the topic of the first lesson would be masturbation. I understand that, well... I think i understand what it means, but if I want to learn anything more on the topic, I might have to practice. And she did mention that it was quite a private thing. Well. It doesn't feel right to be uneducated. And I want to be better at things. This included. It might be useful. That's one way people relate to each other. But masturbation is very self centered. How will it help me be better for the group? Hmm, I'll have to ask her.
Well, for now I should be more attentive. The fight is about to start and I promised Jay to check if any house betting was happening on any group of fighters. It is a smart thing to be aware of if it happens.
