Losses and gains

by Roshanna

Well bloody hell… We went to the oracle and got our leads. Apparently the conge of teleportation isn’t one only, but there are several spread among giants. Makes sense I suppose. So we have three choices. One in the throne room with the frost giants of The Sea of Moving Ice, one in the room of a fire giant duke in the Ice spires. And one in the highest tower of the flying city with the mad cloud giant we heard about from Nimbolo. Hooray.

We also asked our questions. Didn’t get much wiser from that. I hate oracles. A whole bunch of non answers was what we got. Wouldn’t it be nice with “The oracle of clear, straight cut answers”? I think that would be a great hit.

When we got out we were “greeted” by a nosy, black haired woman with a nasty scar. Daar of course introduced herself and wanted to talk, but we held her back, because we were rightfully suspicious. The woman soon identified herself as Imrith, turned into the huge and horrible version of herself, blasted us with her lightning breath and we barely got away. Hashnag didn't get away. Apparently he stayed behind to tear down the temple over himself and Imrith. I will not say I knew him well, but I liked him a lot, he was a sign that not all giants are violent brutes, and I will honor him.

We left for Silverymoon at once. The group was in a very weird mood. Daar even had alcohol, so I honestly was a bit worried for her. We also had sex. I don't know if she wanted it for comfort, curiosity or for something else entirely, but I could never say no.

I must say Silverymoon is an amazing place. It's so beautiful, so well thought out. Maybe a little bit on the pompous and snotty side, but I think I could spend hours just walking around here. We met Rindha at the library. Calling it a library feels like calling Denyeses a male. It's entirely true, but also does not describe it's greatness whatsoever. It's huge for one thing. And I never thought there existed so many books in the entire universe. Daar seemed like she was in heaven. I felt... slightly overwhelmed. We reported to Rindha and decided to go to some dwarf place and help them out with their fire giant problem - and maybe get our hands on a conge of teleportation at the same time. She also introduced us to a Sir Azaki, a paladin and apparently an ally who is supposed to help us. I guess he seems capable enough, but he seemed so very seeeeriooous.

Daar and I went to spend the night at what might be the nicest brothel I've ever seen. I mean, mum's place is the best, but that is because I know everyone - intimately. This place felt... fancy. It feels weird I'm able to afford it. Spent an hour with a very handsome, and skilled, man. Was nice to do something just for me. I think Daar was satisfied with what I ordered for her as well. At least she didn't complain. Of course, she never would.
