Death of Matatara

Alistair finds a key (aeonic era of flourishment 2,700 years old, tarnished gold, associated with the primal magic school). The key was hidden in a large holy symbol of The Weaver. The symbol itself appears to be a complex sliding puzzle (we are physically unable to solve it at this point), made out of an unknown material and seems to be a combination of magic types. In Awakened Forest, outside of Dunras. Less shiny now than it was when originally picked up, use to shine.
 
The Hitokiri are actively attacking Hei with Goblins. We will report immediate news to Decides if we uncover something that could endanger the city or help the Hitokiri.
 
Library Search on Dunras (The Awakened Forest):

  • Dangerous forest due to elemental magical storms. Large forces do terribly, smaller groups have a better chance.

  • Dragons, trolls, ogers, powerful and wild creatures live in that forest

  • Rumour of ancient ruins, with traps, secret paths, religious icons, a whole ruined city inside there.


    • Alistair's search on the Weavers holy symbol puzzle returned no knowledge aside from vague mentions with a critical success.
     
    Marai found the wine supplier, a house on the edge of the Pleasure Quarter. Guards are under orders to leave us to our own investigation.
     
    House Investigation:
  • House had a lightning rune engraved on the lock, and also had a poison trap inside of it

  • These people are eating dogs (missing dogs solved)

  • Downstairs goes for 50-60ft, large underground area for such a small house

  • Long hallway with traps

  • Goblins with Goblin Dogs

  • x2 Hobgoblins (1 Animated Armor, 1 Animated Broom)


    • Hobgoblins ran away with President Marohosho, using the animated armour as a distraction they fled. By the time we caught up to them, they had prepared an ambush. Hobgoblins are acting on behalf of the All (Unknown if person/group/deity, though they also reference a God).
     
    The opposite of Greed is Lust in terms of weaknesses = Occultism check.
     
    Boss Room:
  • "The Taker of All wishes to offer you a place at his side." "Watches... listens... knows you will have worth."


    • President has been retrieved and is alive, though still restrained.
