The Necron Nebula contains the inhabited Sestian System plus a few big gas giants,. Marukos, ("Eye of Triarch"), and Armasar, ("Word of C'tan")
So'Zen and I faked a rather convincing (if I do say so myself) flight path into the local Hyperspace Buoys to show that we had already departed to a rendezvous point in orbit of Armasar, the more distant gas giant and its 24 moons. If the Katana Fleet checked the records, they would come out of hyperspace in pursuit of us in an excellent place to hide and a very difficult place to find a hiding small group of ships.
Meanwhile, Danar Vorpaderon and Jedi Vanya and friends searched for the hostages and started gathering poeple for an expedition to rescue the hostages from some sort of suspended animation.
Meanwhile, Capt Koleen and Hicks invented a device to gum-up the gears of the Clocktaurs. (( Then Capt Koleen promised one of the kids he could have a lab. ))
Meanwhile, Errol Vondromos found that the sphere (which was currently inhabited by Dr. Janus Basiloch, who found it on this world) which damaged Koleen's ship was ancient, (made by the Old Ones, the Aeldari, for the Sestians before they arrived on this world, 5-8 generations back). Coincidentally, Janus' assistant (on Project Eidolon) is a digital being inhabiting Danar's datapad right now.
We gathered together again at the assault shuttle, x, because Captain Koleen's vehicle was still in need of repair. As we arrived, Koleen scanned the facility from above and found droid-sign all over, densely. The hostages (both locals and some captured from various vehicles raided from hyperspace) appeared to be healing in bacta tanks, then being moved in to suspension cryofreeeze chambers.
Soon So'Zen arrived, leading a band of about 20 seemingly carnivorous smaller robotic creatures which, (when they saw Vanya's light saber), ran ahead to cover So'Zen protectively. Almon messaged me, "Why not blow open a hangar door and run that herd through the Clocktaurs? That should be good for a laugh."
I hacked the hangar door on the North side of the facility and opened it. So'Zen led the herd inside. So'Zen mentioned through our comms that he found robotic plants and pollinating cyborg beetles happily going about living in there. Interesting. I wondered if this were an evolved ecology or a manufactured simulation of another world, one more lush and forested.
As Vanya and Errol joined So'Zen and his cluster at the North hangar, Danar, Koleen, and I went to the South door utility mechanical repair station. We found landspeeders not far from usability. Danar suggested I repair one while he and Koleen stealthily acquire the hostages.
I opened the repair facility door to release a humid fog and one small robotic goose-like creature much like So'Zen's flock / cluster. They allowed it to calmly explore the outdoors while they went indoors into a cybernetic rainforest of partially electronic plants and scarab-like beetles.
They proceeded inward, while I began repairs on what I hoped would be the fastest hospital gurney ever made. Soon they found a fully mechanical man, a man-and-a-half tall, with a type of rifle weapon, which seemed to be a walking sentry securing the building.
A pair of the small beasts popped out unhappily, but the sentry did not shoot them. It may have considered them to be a nuisance but not a threat. Koleen and Vorpadaran hid themselves in the dark behind the plants, successfully hiding.
Then, two more sentries passed through, rolling a cryo-bed into a nearby room, a colder one, with full permission of the armed sentry. The two "workmen" droids walked away down a hallway. My two teammates followed them to another room with very new construction. It was full of cryo-tubes, and each one was active. These ones were all Sestians, soldiers and scientists and other occupations, but all locals, who had only recently been frozen in the last few days. The beetles and plants avoided this cold area.
