Development of the Static Map

The Static Map, the place where all Contestants of Nexus's game put the things that don't fit in their pockets or P.L.O.T. Device bracers.   The Static Map is by no means Static, as it changes drastically and constantly. But it is a universe that can be accessed from any other universe, as long as the one trying to get there is already a resident of it.

    Acquisition of Explorer Kits
    Geological / environmental event

Of course the first thing Nexus puts into the Static Map is a paradox. With a Contestant now owning an Explorer Kit that grants the ability to go underground, undergrounds now exist in the Static Map.   But there is no land, or anything else. An empty universe containing nothing. But you can go under it if you can get there.

For every Patron that was paying Nexus, he brought their nominated Contestant to a classroom. Succeeding in the written and practical test earned that Contestant a Caretaker Collar which came with a Sphere, a 2d island with ambient lighting and a surrounding of dense clouds.

When Nexus allowed Lord McCracken's Patron to nominate him as a Contestant, he brought along the Overlord's Gauntlet, a piece of armor with an alignment that granted the user the ability to summon minions from the underworld do do their bidding.   But since minions can now exist in the Static Map, there must be an underworld.

    Not many Contestants bothered.

Upon graduation, the Contestants that had been part of Nexus's game for awhile realized that the Terrene Protectorate didn't offer them personal spaceships for colonization because they already had the custom-built ones Nexus made them that rescued them from the previous place they were at as Nexus blew it up.

Shrouded Worlds: Worlds psychically shielded from outside observation.

Shattered Worlds- worlds blown into asteroid-like rubble incapable of harboring life.
