Session 19: The Search Goes on... Report
General Summary
Upon arriving in Tentaught, the party are ambushed by Philamena. A tabaxi who has also lost her friend. They team up, reluctantly, with Thryan Rosserk almost robbing Philamena, only stopped by Sprig Silvertoung.
Upon Philamena's report of rumours she heard in The Florentine, the party head there for some investigating and a rest. Drostre Bassast, Thryan Rosserk and Ashley Benatar go elsewhere.
Upon meeting the unsettling proprietor, Luran Tirdath, the now smaller group are lead to the back rooms to discuss the rumours. Willing to trade information for favours Luran Tirdath offers the party a trade. They take it away to consider.
Meanwhile Ashley Benatar learns of some rumours at the The Gentle Whisper about the Temple to the Five Tentaught talking about strange happenings.
Before turning in for the night at The Florentine the group meet up at The Little Pea to question the owner, Perbin Sunbarrel, who wears similar robes to the followers the party have heard of. Perbin Sunbarrel refuses to tell them anything and refuses Sprig Silvertoung subtle offer of help.
While heading back to The Florentine, Ashley Benatar sends Jet off to keep an eye out for people of the robe's description outside the city. Back at the inn Luran Tirdath tells the group there are unsettling rumours being spread about his establishment by the church and he would like them to find a way to stop it for his information. The rest of the party rest at the inn. Drostre Bassast goes to sleep near the Temple to the Five Tentaught and Sprig Silvertoung stakes out The Little Pea.
Sprig Silvertoung follows Shuvald to He Who Smelt It.
In the morning the party meet at The Florentine and Sprig Silvertoung shares their information. Ashley Benatar stays at the tavern while the group go to He Who Smelt It to follow up.
At the blacksmiths Sprig Silvertoung sneaks in and finds Shuvald's shirt. Philamena stays behind while the party head to the temple to see if they can hear the rumours. During this time Philamena threatens Kutir Fernal into revealing he is in a secret relationship with Shuvald.
Ashley Benatar catches up with the group on their way to the Temple to the Five Tentaught. While there she gets into an argument with a cleric over the rumours which are about missing people in the eastern side of the city, potentially at the hands of a vampire. Upon Philamena's return, the group agree to investigate these missing reports with the Tentaught Thieve's Guild at The Smouldering Satchel so leave Thryan Rosserk behind.
This goes poorly. The innkeep refuses to set up a meeting with the leader unless the group fess up where Thryan Rosserk is. They do not. Except Ashley Benatar who sets up a secret meeting she returns to after the party leave.
By the time the party return to the Temple to the Five Tentaught there are thieves waiting outside. They ask the temple to keep Thryan Rosserk safe overnight while they sort out an escape. They return to The Florentine for a 'stake out'.
