McNaughton Clan

The McNaughton Clan are a sept of Clan Donald, one of The Great Houses. The clan inhabits parts of the Trotternish and North Coast regions. The majority of the clan members live in or near the town of Uig which they helped settle.

Culture

The McNaughton's are a close family, but as with all families it has some underlying disagreements and conflicts.

Assets

The McNaughton's own large areas of woodlands (including The Grove) as well the large house known as The Manse.

History

The McNaughtons formed as a sept (aka sub family) from Clan Donald in the early days of the The Great Houses. The clan helped found the town of Uig. The family provided troops and resources during The Dark War.
