Brea, Mother of All
Goddess of cultivated nature, healing, life, death, good fortune, plenty, and the seasons.
The oldest and most powerful of the Old Gods, Brea was the first great spirit to answer the call from the Sister-Moons for gods to protect life in the world. Among her many titles, she is the geshtai of Ancathra itself.
She is loved as the goddess of everything good that grows, good luck, and plenty. In some cases Mother Brea is also feared as she is said to hold life and death in her hands.
There are as many druids as clerics in the Brean priesthood, particularly druids of the Circle of Brea.
Each of the other Ancathran gods defers to Brea as the wisest and most powerful among them. There are two exceptions to this. The first is the Ausranic God Taltossa, Stranger to All, an evil god of death and night, as well as the god of assassins, poison, shadows, stealth, and twilight. Taltossa both denies Brea's authority and fears her power. Taltossa occasionally gives his loyalty to Ghaulwira, the second divinity to deny Brea. The god of chaos, cold, darkness, decay, entropy, evil, and insanity, Ghaulwira is powerful enough to simply ignore Brea, believing itself greater than all of the gods. (Theologians argue that this can be proven untrue by the fact that Ghaulwira has not (yet) consumed the other gods and re-shaped the world in his image.)
