Safe Zone 1
One of the only two "safe" places that humanity can reside. Walls made of the strongest materials that Element Zero can make. Anti Air cannons line the outside of these walls. This city has all of humanity's remaining industrial power. Despite what the name would imply, this is hardly a safe place to live, as mechanon raids are quite common. Though the people have found a way to survive these raids. Bunkers are buried under every city block, accessible by anyone in need during a mechanon raid. While everyone is safe within these impenetrable bunkers, the Archangels Mechanized Infantry Corps fights the invaders off of what little is left of civilization.
Government
Both Safe Zones are led by a prime minister. He is responsible for keeping the peace among the survivors while the Archangels wage their war for survival against the mechanon. All forms of violence are banned within the walls of both Safe Zones.
Defences
Walls protect the city's edges, and anti-aircraft cannons line these walls. Each tower along the inner walls is an Archangels headquarters. Missile batteries lie at the base of the building at the center of the city.
Industry & Trade
Industry is the city's very reason for existence. Mining, and metal working is the primary form of work for the inhabitants of Safe Zone 1. The second most common form of work is within the Archangels. Finally, comes water purification.
Infrastructure
An underground highway connects the two safe zones. All the city's water is provided by a series of pipelines that pull water from the Great Lakes, purify it, and pull it to the city. Sky trams take citizens from one side of the city to the other.
History
This was the first safe zone that humanity made as a last-ditch effort to survive, by pooling what little resources they had left. Since then, that effort has mostly succeeded. Humanity has survived in this city for nearly a century. The first Archangels bas was built here, and this has been their base of operations ever since.
