Highwall
Named after the massive wall of buildings emerging from the mountain side it rests on, High wall is the second largest city in the Crescent Empire, composed of many of the upper-class citizens that don’t dwell within Imperia. It is a popular resort city, boasting a variety of spas, gardens, impressive galleries that attract visitors from all over the empire, and even beyond. Most of High Wall’s attractiveness stems from its upper regions however, as the lower section of the wall is home to the city’s laborers, scavengers, and servants who work to maintain the upper section. Dozens of elaborate stone staircases and tunnels interconnect High Wall, making it easy for newcomers to get lost trying to navigate.
During the time of Mythra Crescentia and her Order, the area of High Wall served as an outpost for Nex's Black Empire, and it is said that much of High Wall’s underlying architecture was built by Nex’s slaves and followers as temples and monuments to him.
The most prominent and popular establishments currently in High Wall are the Crystal Tear Casino/Inn, the Silver Spoon restaurant and tavern, and the two largest rival theaters: The Bright Side and Torrin’s Take.
A small waterfall fortress perched on the mountain above Highwall is used by the ruling family of High Wall as an entertainment venue and villa. It is nicknamed The Menagerie.
