Jedediah
Once a young gnome with a budding romance, Jed was torn away from his home in the Oreion Inquisition to fight in The Green War. During the war he was wounded and couldn't help himself from passing out. Hours later, and with almost miraculous luck, he found himself alive long after the battle was over and the armies of both Oreion and Velant had fallen back. As he stumbled across the battlefield, he saw a stone that seemed to summon him as it laid beside a mysterious looking figure that had been slain in the battle. As he drew near he felt the calling intensify, so he reached out and touched the stone. He was instantly transported across dimensions, where he was shown the power of the arcane in lonely and hardened worlds. The stone's power fused with him as he traveled by its power, following it's will.
As the days turned to months, the stone bound itself to Jed's soul, shrinking until at once it disappeared. He was then transported back to the battlefield, still bound to the stone's magical power. While he had spent years with the stone, only a few months had passed on Arkos. When he finally made it back home, he soon discovered that his love, Joyce, had abandoned him as dead, but upon not finding his body she had assumed him a deserter. It turned out she had married the captain of the local The Idyll Keepers in his absence.
Joyce still cared for him, so she pleaded with Jed to leave, as the punishment for desertion in Oreion was death. As they were saying goodbye, a local guard walked up, tore off Jed's hood and threw both Jed and Joyce to the ground. Jed subconsciously used a spell, smashing the guard against the wall, wounding him badly. As jed then fled the city, he saw Joyce being captured for aiding a deserter and magic wielder.
Jed escaped to the forest, living alone as a mysterious protector of The Rovers who would bring him information and news. He discovered Joyce had been incarcerated in a nearby prison. Determined to free his lover, Jed did; however after getting her free he was deathly wounded by a poisoned arrow, only able to whisper a goodbye to Joyce before his soul echoed into the great unknown.
In 1006 3A, Jed was resurrected by the Alphacian Alex / Arcturus, along with the other members of what would become The Sanctioned.
During his time with the Sanctioned, Jed became known as the somewhat impulsive and goofy member of the group, though possessing a kind heart and a great desire to help others. He even adopted an alternate stage persona, calling himself 'The Legendary Zelda'. Adventuring with the Sanctioned, Jed notably defeated Ferric, a champion of Bellum - The Corruptor, saved his lover Joyce from the control of The Holy Light, discovered the source of his magic being the Heart of the Fey realm Illanterra, and landed the killing blow upon the mad Lightsworn Janus .
After the death of Janus, Jed expressed an interest in keeping open communication with the newly revivied Ancient Elias - The Lawbearer, being the first mortal who spoke to him in his dormant state. Currently, Jed still resides in Velant, living together with Joyce in the Trueheart estate; a vast manor that was lent to him by Rin Trueheart.
