Hometown

Hometown, sometimes called Heroes Hometown, was a small hamlet in northwest Branca, the Kingdom of the South. It is located at the base of Azimuth's Heart and to the north of Kendell. It was the famous hometown of the Zenethian Children and is a major place of holy significance to the faith of Zenethia.

Description

Hometown was a small hamlet, which technically was never named. The name Hometown came about as The Story of the Zenethian Heroes proliferated in the Fifth Age.
Hometown was nestled into the mountainside at the base of Azimuth's Heart. Visually, the section of the mountain it is located in appears to have been carved out by giant claws. Just past the southern entrance is the forest surrounding Kendell.
There is a waterfall leading to a small pool in town, which leads to a small stream the crosses the village. On the far side, the stream enters an underground cavern and disappears.
On the far side of the village was a cellar that lead to a small cavern that leads up to a 40-foot precipice higher on the cliff wall near to the waterfall and above the water pool at the base.
In the late Fourth Age, there were a small number of buildings in the town, including a church to Zenethia and a house for the village's elder. There was also a small inn, however the village did not accept outsides and it was largely unused.
After the village was destroyed, the buildings were burned and severely damaged. The village was abandoned and left to wild growth. Wild grasses, vines, and pale flowers overgrew most of the buildings.
