Virginia Murdock- Potter (a.k.a. Pepper)
In 1992, Virginia Potter applied to be an admin assistant for a financial officer in Stark Industries. Thisis when Tony Stark finally found her. He set her up to be his personal Assistant, which she became upon the loss of his previous PA due to a drinking episode.
Her parents' killer tracked her down a few weeks after she started working for Tony Stark. James Rogers and Jack Murdock saved her life.
As she worked for Tony, she grew closer and closer to him and Jack, evenually dating the man. She also became very close to his son Matt Murdock. She also became close to Maria Stark and the rest of the Stark household. She mourned the death of Ana Jarvis and Edwin Jarvis.
Pepper and Jack got married in 1995 and Pepper adopted Matt. She also became the guardian to Jessica Jones and her younger brother Phil Jones when their father couldn't take care of them. Jessica and Matt are best friends.
Pepper did mroe and more of Tony's Executive work over the years.
Pepper lost Jack in 1999 during the Columbine attack. She and Matt worked together to heal.
In 2000, Matt tried to commit suicide. Jessica found him and saved his life. Pepper vowed to work with her son more after that.
In 2001, Tony was kidnapped. This is when Pepper found out he'd left her the company with some provisions for his mother. She stepped up as interim CEO set for 6 months. Tony was found in September.
On September 10, 2001, Pepper was giving a presentation with Peggy Carter. Angela Martinelli and Matt were there when the airplanes hit the towers. She managed to get Peggy and her son out but Angie died in the impact. Pepper then continued to assist in the evacuation and triage near the twin towers

Personal history
Pepper is the daughter of Irish immagrants in Boston. Her father was an account for the Irish Mob under Danny O'Dell. He taught her everything she needed to know about business and finance.
In 1991, her father was told by the mob to destroy a new immigrant family from Ireland. He refused and both parents were killed. Pepper saw the deaths from where she was hidden. She agreed t testify but when the killer escaped, she went into hiding changing her name from Sarah Welsh to Virginia Potter
