Þjaris

Þjaris /θjaːrɪːs/ the the common name for the northern part Iðlía Forest in northwestern Jælondis as well as the westernmost part of Þjan Tundra, home of the three countries of the Þjaric Elves, namely Jolþ, Æjala and Ælea.
The region is quite remote, and for the last few centuries was even more isolated from the rest of the world as the þjaric elves, fearing that the influence of the elves and Humans to the south threatened their way of life, cut off all contact with their neighbours up until the Fell Wars.
During this time, virtually all domesticated plants and animals seen as foreign were replaced by those found in Þjaris; there are no horses, cattle or sheep to be found there, for example, while domesticated reindeer, muskoxen, foxes, grouses and cormorants are a common sight.
Since the Fell Wars, Þjaris has opened up to the rest of Jælondis and a number of people visit it each year to experience the unique culture and the often harsh but nonetheless beautiful environment of the taiga and tundra.

Geography

Þjaris is bordered by Niþvú Sea to the west, Jútrilía beyond the Mænas River to the south and the Qug Mountains to the east, while its border on the tundra remains somewhat vague.
